INDUX-R at IVRHA Europe 2026

Oliver A Kannape Kannape from HUG – Hopitaux Universitaires de Genève presented at IVRHA (International Virtual Reality and Healthcare Association) Europe 2026 recent work on AI-driven virtual patients, exploring how they can give students more opportunities to practise patient conversations in a controlled and reliable environment.

The presentation highlighted the importance of reliable AI-supported educational content, with careful attention to model behaviour, system design, and the accuracy and relevance of clinical material co-developed with physicians and educators. A similar approach is being adopted for the surgical assistant developed as part of INDUX-R Use Case 3.

Another step towards advancing immersive technologies and AI for healthcare education!
